Kaitlyn joined the team in early 2024. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Public Relations and Communications. She moved to Boise from Oregon with ambition to “escape the rain” and live in a growing city.
Her love of nonprofit work began after two service trips to Oaxaca, Mexico, and Nicaragua in 2013. There, she discovered her passion for storytelling and helping nonprofits share theirs.
In her free time, she enjoys training her two dogs, playing trivia with her team, snowboarding, and planning future travel adventures.
Q&A
What was your favorite camp activity growing up? The horseback riding. My favorite horse was named Booger.
What’s one skill camp taught you?One year, I attended Survival Camp at Camp Silver Creek. I learned how to make a fire, tie knots, forage for food, read a compass, and many other wilderness skills.
What’s your favorite camp song? That’s tough! I love “The Great Big Moose” and “The Ratlin’ Bog” most.
If you were a pasta shape, what shape would you be and why? Farfalle (Bow Tie Pasta). The shape brings back childhood memories of my family at the dinner table playing with our pasta and reenacting movie scenes.
