My family

My husband and I became involved with Camp Rainbow Gold when our daughter, Bri, was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of six. We were navigating through a surreal world of uncertainty and fear when a close friend introduced us to CRG. Camp provided an uplifting, medically safe place where we found healing, laughter, friendship, and adventure. Sadly, Bri passed in 2008, but CRG remains a special and important part of our life. The CRG community is a silver lining to a devasting experience and helped us find purpose using an event that changed our life profoundly.

Lasting impact

It means the world to me that I can continue to be part of the CRG family. Over the last 15 years, I have volunteered at Camp in a variety of roles, been a member of the Scholarship Committee and recently teamed up with my husband, Bill, for the archery activity at Camp.

I continue to be inspired by the compassionate Staff, generous Volunteers, and most of all the resilient Campers. CRG has made a lasting impact on me, my family, and my friends’ families. I’ve learned that life is full of obstacles to test our faith, however, strong people will remain at your side during difficult journeys. I consider myself fortunate to know such incredible people supporting the CRG programs.

Meaningful life

Bill and I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling to new places, cooking together, and listening to music. I proudly work for St. Luke’s Cancer Institute as a Research Regulatory Coordinator managing adult oncology trials funded by the National Cancer Institute.
