Dearest Friends & Family of Camp Rainbow Gold,
After more than 20 years of volunteering and serving Camp Rainbow Gold, I have made the heartfelt decision to retire! The 2020 Share Your Heart Ball will be my last event as chair and host. It has been my daily joy, love, mission, focus, legacy and passion to serve Camp Rainbow Gold throughout this time. Two decades ago, I said, “There is no way these children can ever face losing this beloved camp!” After several small, but impactful fundraising events, I co-founded a sustainable, annual gala, The Share Your Heart Ball, to assure Camp Rainbow Gold continued each summer and helped the mission to secure a permanent home one day. Well, thanks to your incredible generosity, enduring stewardship, and the endless passion of all the committee members involved from day one—we have done just that. I cannot tell you the relief I have knowing these amazing campers and their families will forever have a home.
Celebrate with Us
I am so proud of everyone who has come together to serve this organization, who has joined our mission to help over many, many years, and I am honored to have been a part of it all. While I will always remain as co-founder and honorary chair, the Share Your Heart Ball will stay the course with a seasoned team of passionate staff and volunteers moving forward. The show will go on! This March, the 2020 Share Your Heart Ball will be my finale, my retirement, my ride off into the sunset. Please save the date for Saturday, March 14, 2020, as it would be my honor for you to join me on this special night.
Looking Forward
Camp Rainbow Gold is strong and has the foundation for an incredible future. They will go on to do amazing things with the Capital Campaign and renovations at the beautiful ‘Hidden Paradise’ property in Fairfield and continue offering critical year-round services and programming to so many Idaho kids facing a cancer diagnosis. My heart is so full, and I look at the past 20 years as a series of countless miracles. But it is time for a new generation of dreamers and doers to take the reins. I will rest this April knowing I have done everything I personally can to help give hundreds of sick kids, and their families, a much-needed break from the rigors of this awful cancer disease.
From my heart and my soul, I thank you all, and cannot wait to celebrate with you on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the Sun Valley Inn. Book your sponsorships, tickets, and rooms now as we celebrate camp’s shining stars – our campers, families and supporters.
Keep Shining,
Kris Nardecchia
