Reaching for the Stars

Camp Rainbow Gold knows childhood cancer can take a significant financial toll on families. But cancer should not make college or other degree programs an unrealistic goal for survivors or their siblings.

The Camp Rainbow Gold College Scholarship Program gives young adults who have participated in Camp Rainbow Gold camps or programs the opportunity to pursue their goals in post-secondary education by applying for financial aid from the organization.

Congratulations to our 2023/2024 college scholarship award recipients!

About the Award

The Camp Rainbow Gold College Scholarship Program offers students up to $5,000 per year with a possible lifetime award of up to $20,000 per student. After the initial award, subsequent scholarships are based on a new submission of a thoughtful and complete application form, successfully meeting program eligibility requirements, continuous academic achievement, and a high level of volunteer commitment.

The number of scholarships available is determined by donations to the program. Due to limited resources, Camp Rainbow Gold is not able to award scholarships to all cancer survivors and siblings. After initial awards, scholars are not guaranteed a scholarship annually and will need to reapply each year.

Scholarships may be used for enrollment and attendance tuition, fees, and books required for full or part-time course instruction at an accredited university, college, community college, or vocational/technical school. Students attending community colleges or tech schools should be aware that the total amount of scholarship awards may be adjusted based on tuition rates.

Sibling Scholarships

Camp Rainbow Gold is honored to provide a limited number of scholarships for our CRG Sibling Campers.

Cancer survivor and sibling applicants are all required to meet the eligibility requirements and will be awarded scholarships based on the criteria for selection listed below.

Applications for the 2023/2024 school year are now closed. Awards will be distributed at the start of the fall school semester.
