Kyle Andrew is Hidden Paradise’s Camp Operations Director and is thrilled to be part of the organization.
After Kyle’s brother was diagnosed with leukemia at a young age, his family was introduced to Camp Rainbow Gold, Hidden Paradise’s parent organization. Kyle had the privilege of attending camp and one of his favorite memories is the “shines” at mealtimes, a tradition that left a big impression. Those experiences had a lasting impact on his life and helped shape who he is today. Stepping into this role feels like a full-circle moment, marked by deep gratitude and a strong desire to give back.
Kyle’s professional background is rooted in recreation, inclusion, and service. He graduated from BYU–Idaho with degrees in Recreational Therapy and Kinesiology, with an emphasis in biomechanics, and he holds his CTRS accreditation. Kyle has spent his entire career in the nonprofit sector, including seven years working in Utah’s adaptive recreation industry. His work has focused on creating meaningful outdoor recreation opportunities for individuals with physical, mental, and cognitive disabilities, helping people find joy and happiness in ways that work best for them.
Outside of camp, Kyle is most at home outdoors, whether skiing fresh powder, mountain biking new trails, or finding any excuse to spend time outside with his family. He enjoys staying active and exploring nature whenever possible. If there’s an adventure involving a little dirt, snow, or sunshine, Kyle is probably already there.
